From the very beginning of the novel Of Mice and Men by wash-hand basin Steinbeck we know that Lennie is going to line in vex. We know this because of the fore prophesy and character naming that Steinbeck uses passim the novel. Some of these events include, when Lennie gets into a fight with Curley, when sweetens dog gets shot, and when Lennie accidentally kills his dog. All of these events keep the audiences attention and lead to the climax which is when Lennie accidentally kills Curleys wife.
